Moving Reflections by Creative--Dragon Moving Reflections by Creative--Dragon
This is the first IR I have taken with my new Nikon D800 I was able to boost the ISO up to 400 and even with the IR post processing there was very little noise produced...

Taken at Barenschlossle, in Stuttgart Germany

Nikon D800
F5.6
ISO 400
32mm on my 24-70
Hoya R72 IR Filter

Did you have to convert the camera to IR or can the D800 work with longer exposure and just an ir filter? Really nice shot!

Longer exposure (about 1-2 seconds I think) the details are in the meta-data... I eventually would love to get another D800 and convert it to IR so I can do quick exposures :)

did you add the motion blur in the water yourself in postproduction?

No, it from a long exposure... the lake was not perfectly still in all areas...

I can't really tell if those are Cherry Blossoms or not. I love the way the photo came out. It almost looks like the water has swelled up to cover the tree trunks.

Nope, not cherry blossoms... this is an infrared shot, so green foliage turns pinkish/white during the post processing portion of IR photography. :)
