Volksfest takes place in the Autumn month of October and coincides with Oktoberfest which is held in Munchen Germany. Volksfest is much smaller, but much better (IMO), and takes place in Stuttgart Germany.
UPDATE: Made some minor modifications to fix HDR processing glitches for the distant objects/rides. Just cleaned it up a bit... Enjoy.
This was taken from a nearby bridge overlooking the fest in Stuttgart Germany. I'm glad they decided to put the ferris wheel next to the Am Nekar river It reflected the lights quite nicely
i have to say how u took the area was really well planned. the angle helps lead the reader from the the left side of the picture leading up to the stunning view of the bridge. How everything is reflected and then the bright feris wheel's reflection helps to complete and fill the page. How everything is highlighted is nice which helps tie in the "lightning" feris wheel. I have to say the middle of the ferris wheel..the green..is my fav. It is such a bright feature which was what drew me in first! Great emphasis on the feris wheel...lol..good job ...keep up the good work!
This truly is an incredible image. The different and colorful highlights from the lights of the festival allow the eye to travel across the image and back from left to right while the negative space above in the sky and below in the water have just enough ambient light to still make them interesting.
The lighting greatly accentuates every detail in this image it seems. From the leaves of the trees to the cables on the bridge, everything is brought out in eye-popping detail.
I have seen the alternative image to this, the one where you had added the fireworks to the left side. I personally like this one better as the fireworks just didn't seem to fit into this image. It took away from the tranquility.

Once again, great job.
